At PAD Diagnostics, we perform bilateral color Doppler analysis to examine the carotid bulb as well as the internal and external carotid arteries. This test measures the velocity of blood flow to the brain and detects the presence, amount, and location of arterial plaque. Plaque buildup inside the carotid arteries can restrict blood flow and increase the risk of stroke, making this scan an important tool for early detection and prevention.
